In addition to the cosmetic improvements, Botox can also benefit patients with (temporomandibular joint (TMJ)/masseter rigidity problems, as well as migraines.

Naturopathic Acupuncture

Dr. Fayaz Bharwani was born and raised in Calgary. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University, he returned to Calgary for medical school (MD) and his anesthesiology residency. He subsequently did a fellowship (additional specialized training) in obstetrical anesthesia and has been trained and certified in administering Botox for cosmetics.

Dr. Bharwani has been a specialist in anesthesiology for over 10 years and currently works at South Health Campus where he is the clinical lead for obstetrical anesthesia. He has several administrative roles as well as is involved academically in teaching medical students and residents. He is a clinical assistant professor with the University of Calgary.

He is a member of the Alberta Medical Association and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Ludo Brunel has always been fascinated by science especially as it pertains to nutrition and health and longevity. He followed this fascination by receiving his degree in Human Nutrition from McGill University. After that, he went on to pursue his studies in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario, and graduated in 2004. Since the moment he earned his title of Naturopathic Doctor, he has had a passion and drive to make patients feel better. His goals and desires are to meet and exceed the needs of his patients, and to provide them with the best tools available to get them to their goals of optimal health and wellness. Time and time again, patients state that the care that Dr. Brunel had provided was the most helpful they have received. Dr. Brunel has been fortunate in many ways. He was fortunate to work within one of the largest preventative health programs ever offered in Canada for more than a decade. Darrell joins us from Massage Heights with an eclectic skillset. He is a Registered Massage Therapist, with over 3000 hours of training. His career began in 2015. He has been able to help many people with various ailments, ranging from pain, sports injuries, and anxiety. He does a wide range of massages like Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Pre and Post-natal and Hot Stone Massage. He also works with and treats sport injuries, motor vehicle accident injuries and whiplash, to name a few. Since he began working as a RMT, he has found that the skills he has learned have been very impactful for many of his clients. In addition, he has since upgraded his education and learned orthopaedic massage techniques and integrates them into his sessions with clients. This has made the whole experience for his clients the best it can be.

Darrell is also a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner. As an M/O, he utilizes a variety of different techniques to help his clients achieve whole body wellness. Through the use of Lensen’s Osteo-articulate manipulation, Visceral Therapy, Fascial Therapy and Cranial/Sacral Therapy, he can help his clients to live a pain free lifestyle. Dr. Thorne obtained her naturopathic medical degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She holds a full time practice in general naturopathic medicine with a special interest in cardiovascular health, weight management and integrative cancer care.

Dr. Thorne approaches each of her patients with evidence-informed individualized care, recognizing the importance of tailoring treatment plans to meet their unique needs. She understands that healthcare is not a one-size-fits-all approach and acknowledges the diversity of her patients’ backgrounds, health conditions, and preferences.

“I discovered my path to naturopathic medicine through my background in the fitness industry. From a young age, I have nurtured a deep passion for health, fitness, and nutrition. These passions drove me to pursue a degree in kinesiology, immersing myself in the study of human body and exercise physiology. As I ventured through both academic pursuits and practical experience as a personal trainer, I encountered numerous individuals who had been diagnosed with chronic diseases who required support.
